Where we came from
We bought the villa in 2016 — back then it was an old family holiday centre from the 1980s, repainted three times but original inside: preserved stucco, wooden floors, balustrades forged by the local blacksmith. Two years of renovation with an architect from Wrocław, opening for the 2018 season. The name Zielona Latarnia (Green Lighthouse) comes from the fact that from the first-floor balconies you can see the 1882 Gąski lighthouse — on cloudy evenings it flashes green every 4 seconds.
Who we do this for
In season (July–August) we host families looking for something more than all-inclusive — with a real map of the area, local breakfast and the beach around the corner. Off-season come couples for spa weekends, delegations from the Mielno wind farms and corporate conferences of 30-60 people. We are not trying to be everything to everyone. If you want a disco, animators and a non-stop buffet, you will find that 200 m down the road.
What sets us apart
We have no head office in Warsaw, no seasonal staff from agencies, we do not push sales through 12 OTAs. Our receptionist has been with us three years and remembers guests by name. The restaurant buys fish from one fisherman in Mielno and vegetables from a farm in Bobolice. Breakfast is not a buffet on a signal — it is served from a menu, with vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. That costs more, but it makes for a stay our guests remember.
